Research Direction:

Our research focus on: (1) the pathogenicbiology ofcompanionanimalinfectiousdiseasesandrelatedzoonotic diseases, the molecular mechanism of persistent infection, and analyze functionsand mechanism of the key genes that related pathogens rely on to establish infection;(2) Molecular mechanism of pathogen-hostinteractions: Carry out research on the pathogenic mechanism of companion animal infectious diseases and related zoonotic diseases, the molecular mechanism of pathogen-hostinteractions, and analyze the function of the key pathogenic genes and mechanism of action; (3) Prevention and control technology: Carry out research on new vaccines and advanced diagnostic technologies for companionanimalinfectiousdiseasesandrelatedzoonotic diseases, and provide technical support for the prevention and control of the diseases.

Professional Major:

The research team is leading by Dr. Honglin Jia. He graduated from Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and was engaged in postdoctoral research at Hokkaido University. He has been committed to the research and development of pet infectious disease etiology and prevention and control agents for a long time, and has participated in the 13th and 14th Five-Year National Key R&D projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Heilongjiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Fund and the Heilongjiang Provincial Key R&D Program. He has published research papers in internationally renowned journals such as  Autophagy, Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, mBio, PLoS Pathogens , etc., and has achieved basic research results with international influence, providing important theoretical support for the prevention and control of pet infectious diseases.
