The mission of zoonotic and exotic diseases division is to build up scientific knowledge and technical resources thus providing support for the prevention and control of emerging and reemerging zoonoses, and transboundary animal infectious diseases, including brucellosis, rabies, blue tongue disease, peste des petits ruminants, African swine fever, Rift valley fever, Nipah encephalitis, Japanese encephalitis, West Nile encephalitis, vesicular stomatitis, and so on.
