Laboratory Animal and Comparative Medicine Team

Research Direction锛�

The Laboratory Animal and Comparative Medicine Team creates specific pathogen free agricultural laboratory animals and genetic modified model animal new resources based on classic genetics, systemic biological purification, modern molecular biological and genetic modification technology, including chicken, ducks, quail, swine, mink, ferret, canine, sheep, alpaca and cattle that are conformed to livestock diseases and zoonoses preventive and control researches. The aim of the team is to study basic biological and immunogenetic of laboratory animals, to build microbiological, parasite, pathogenic, genetics, feed nutriment, environment, and quality test technique, as well as resources storage technique, to develop animal experimental techniques and equipment, establish resource and share platform for the bred animals.

The research team is leading by Dr. Changyou Xia. He is engaged in the research work of laboratory animal resource cultivation, disease purification, disease animal model establishment, animal testing technology optimization and quality improvement.
