The Animal Virus Structure and Bioinformatics (AVSB) focuses on developing methods and performs analyses to understand the structure, function, and genetic variation of animal viruses. We use cryo-EM 3-D reconstruction method to resolve important animal viruses and protein complexes at atomic level. We are also interested in visualizing the processes of virus entry and assembly inside host cell. The other research is related with developing a pipeline for viral metagenomics data analysis.
